    Description

    You are bidding on a 1750-1800 Iron Balance Scale.  This really neat and rare balance scale is all 18th century wrought iron.  Pivots at center with rotating scale and fixed arrow(see photos).  Thin iron loop for hanging swings freely and used for balancing.  Two curved ends on straight bar include two small holes for suspending weight cups.
    Probable end cups for weighting items missing.  This really neat and rare balance scale was purchased in Zionsville, Pennsylvania, outside Philadelphia.  First balance scale I have seen and owned like this.
